Sarah Duke did some amazing work. She worked on modelling the mechanics of sound producing structures in field cricket forewings. Working way outside her field of genetics, getting deep into the weeds of FEM and parameter uncertainty. What she's accomplished is nothing short of remarkable.

Reese Gartly, who will be a grad student in the lab ran with the multibody work that started with my 2018 preprint, and looked at how size affects vibration transmission. Another remarkable achievement, a biologist who learned MBD in the pandemic year!

And last but not least Anastassia Mena also used FE to think about how the hrydraulic nature of spider joints might affect their ability to sense vibrations.

All three have done remarkable work in an impossible year! Join me in wishing them super huge congratulations and the best
for their futures
